  • Prabha and Brendan, Wee Jasper NSW

As far as the location for a wedding goes, I must say, this was quite unique. Brendan and Prabha decided to get married in Carey’s Caves in a small village about an hour and half north west of Canberra. Wee Jasper boasts a population of about 80 or so people, and is comfortably nestled in the Goodradigbee valley towards the western end of the Brindabella ranges with beautiful Lake Burrinjuck as the backdrop.

Now I must confess, having never shot a wedding inside a cave before I was a bit apprehensive about the lighting inside. But on the day it all went rather smoothly and by the time we emerged after the ceremony, the rain clouds had all disappeared leaving a blue sky and sunshine behind.

The evening was complete with a local bush band calling dances for the guests, and everyone, young and old alike seemed to be having a ball. I even caught myself a couple of times waltzing to their enchanting tunes.
