I had serious doubts as to whether I’d be able to photograph Sarah and Sam’s wedding. Twenty five days prior to the wedding I injured my left knee at a pickup basketball game. After an MRI scan a couple of days later it was confirmed that I would need surgery to repair a torn ACL.
Thankfully I was able to postpone the surgery and recover enough to hobble, in a straight line, by the wedding day. Sarah and Sam, and their friends, were kind enough to trust an ailing photographer to drag them outside on what must’ve been the coldest day we had in Canberra till then.
But despite the weather being so cold, and us having to jump back into the relative warmth of cars after a short stint out-of-doors, the evening was warm with friendship and fun! Thanks to Luke Beaman for assisting me through the day.
